Teton Fly Reels "BEAUTIFULLY SIMPLE"
|
The TETON reel is a
precision unit. As such it requires some preventive
maintenance. When used in salt water it is
necessary to rinse it thoroughly in fresh water
after each use. The only other requirements are an
occasional drop of light oil on the spool bushing
and releasing the brake tension when not in use.
To Remove Spool:
Depress lever
protruding from spool cap and remove by pulling
outward.
To Reverse Drive:
- Remove spool
- Loosen retainer
screw on leaf spring.
- Swing spring to
opposite side of "V" groove.
- Tighten retainer
screw.
- Replace spool &
turn reel around on rod. Drive is now reversed &
line will wind opposite.
To Adjust Stripping
Tension:
- Remove brake
retainer screw (1).
- Remove brake knob
(2)
- Remove Teflon
washer (3).
- With a pointed
tool adjust tension washer (26) clockwise to
increase & CCW to decrease.
- Reassemble parts
in reverse order.
